Excerpts
Literature,
You can always interpret differently, yet still abiding to the rule that the text is still a text. Unlike painting, which the canvas can sometimes be substituted by another material, text performs, transforms and transcends without changing its form of existence. Text is bare and austere yet rich, magical and fulfilling in many ways...it is like when nothing changes the gravity on earth, a unique encounter with certain text could make you float in the air instantly. Text is an unknown and mysterious matter that does not exist in reality - it is the quintessences of the brilliance of the human mind that somehow justifies our human existence. And I love how it is a humble media (though not so humble sometimes) to general people - discussing and sharing my reading experiences with someone is one of the best feelings all the time! (just to clarify, I still adore the materiality of paintings and I'm just writing this for the sake of "Literature". If the title is "Painting", it could be entirely a twist or sth in opposition to this...haha) (2019)
